Living Room Inspiration

Happy Monday Friends!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! Our weekend included a little roadtrip and it’s so hard to believe that January is gone now! We were only home for one weekend out of the whole month, which has made it extremely busy! I’m ready to stay put now and tackle lots of projects in February!

One of the rooms I’d really like to focus on this month is our living room. It is definitely the hub of our home and I love the progress we’ve made already! Last year we tackled two major DIY projects in this room…. we refinished our hardwood floors and we gave our fireplace a huuuuge makeover! There are still some minor things I’d love to get down and thought I’d share some of my inspiration pictures with you today….

The Endearing Home - Family Room Updates

I love this beautiful coffee table vignette from The Endearing Home! If you don’t follow Lauren’s beautiful blog, you totally should! I love her style!

This Eclectic Cottage Living room is refreshed for the summer! Come take a tour! #BHGRefresh

I love this end table from Cherished Bliss! This is another blog I love and Ashley has such beautiful style and I love her furniture makeovers!  I’ve noticed lately how many people are getting rid of their taupe/beige walls. Yes, we were totally on that same bandwagon a couple years back and while I’d love to repaint our main floor walls, it’s totally not in our budget or schedule to change them right now so they’ll stay! But I love the beige walls in both of these pictures and kinda making me like ours more!

Ikea Hack hemnes coffee table with planked top - www.goldenboysandme.com

Love this pretty coffee table from Golden Boys & Me! One of my favourite features in this room is the gallery wall going up the stairs! Our stairway is situated much the same, and this is on my to-do list for our home!

Faux Planked Card Catalog Coffee Table

Another pretty coffee table! You have to check out how my friend Lauren from Bless’er House gave this Craigslist find a gorgeous makeover! My husband built me a coffee table back in December and we are STILL waiting for the hardware for it! This color was totally the inspiration for ours! Can’t wait to share it with ya’ll!

So much gorgeousness in this picture from 12th and White!! While I love gallery walls, I want something simpler for one of the walls in our living room and this simple collection of frames is perfect!

Love this simple but beautiful fireplace mantle from my friend Lisa at Texas DΓ©cor! We still have ours decorated for winter but I’m excited to change it to a more springy look soon!

This blog is the perfect way to stay accountable so here’s what I’d love to do in our living room:

1. Replace 2 very large picture frames above our couch with something smaller

2. We’ve removed all the oak trim and have bought white already. Paint and put it on.

3. Stairway to upstairs is still oak. Refinish it white.

4. Find endtable. Hopefully used to keep the cost down and redo it.

5. Attach hardware to coffee table so I can share it!

Did you love any of the pictures I shared… or are they not your style? I love the cozy, warm feel of all of them! Thank you so much for shopping by and hope you have a lovely week!

You are so sweet to include me with these great ladies! Thanks so much for the mention, Kendra! Can’t wait to see what you do with your living room! I really want to see your coffee table too! Hopefully the hardware will come in soon. I had to wait a long time for my kitchen cabinet hardware. It’s so frustrating. πŸ™‚

I love your dΓ©cor Lisa and I’m ALWAYS inspired! I also remember that pillow at Christmastime… you’ve had to be soo patient waiting for your deliveries πŸ˜‰ Hope you have a wonderful week! xo

I liked the 12th and white picture and the Golden boys and me picture. Both have a mix of clean, crisp, not too cluttered, and rustic. I have so many plans too, we all just need to find a way to add a few more hours in the day and all will be done!

I love the inspiration pictures! You are right, they are all very cozy, and relaxed. I love it, and can’t wait to see your take on it all! As for wall color, as long as you are happy don’t change it just because that’s the fad. It went from gray to white in just under a year, and I’m not sure who can keep up with all that painting. I for one sure can’t! Haha! Have a wonderful week friend!

Thanks SOO much for your comments, Iris! EXACTLY what I (or my husband, the painter) needed to hear! haha! So true! So glad you stopped by… hope your week has been going great! xo

You know, when I see a grouping of inspiration pics like this, I usually find at least one “something” that really appeals to me in each one and your collection was no exception. Each one had some really good elements. This is what is so much fun about blogging — you get to be inspired all the time! Thanks for sharing these and good luck with your projects!
