Easy DIY Tulle Pom Poms

Good morning friends! I am very excited to share this tutorial with you :) I’ve been looking for something to hang in our daughter’s room for quite some time now. The first time I saw these tulle pom poms, I knew I had found what I was looking for. They are very girly yet beautiful and what I love most is that they were very easy to make!

You will need: a hardcover book, roll of tulle and scissors. Seriously, that is it!!

Before we begin, cut 12inches or so of tulle off the roll. Begin by wrapping the tulle around the book, holding it firmly in place. You don’t want to wrap it too loosely, but also not too tightly as you will need to slide it off once you are done. You’ll get the feel for it really quick. Keep wrapping around until you come to the end of the roll and hold both ends firmly in place.

When you have the whole roll wrapped around the book, it will probably look something like this.

The next step is to gently pull the entire tulle off the book, holding both ends in place. Lay the tulle on top of the pre-cut 12inch piece that you cut off at the beginning and tie the tulle with a double or triple knot. The shape kind of reminds me of a butterfly. Next, you will cut through the loops. You can do them one at a time, but I did quite a few at once, and it worked great. Fluff the ball of tulle to give it lots of volume

I loved the way they turned out… Aren’t they super easy to make? I think I even beat my load of laundry that I had thrown in to wash ;)

And just one more picture, just because I think they’re so darn cute!

Here is my finished product… they look soo sweet! Have you ever tried making these? Let me know how they work out for you!

Until next time,

Love, Kendra

Mom’s Banana Muffins

Hello Friends! Hope you are all having a great week. With the cold weather we’ve been having, one of the things I enjoy most, is turning the oven on and baking something. These muffins were the first thing that came to mind today. I have tried many different banana muffin and bread recipes the last few years, but I always keep coming back to this one. It’s Mom’s recipe and somehow, it just tastes like home. And I love that. Hope you enjoy it as well.
