Valentine Tree

Hello Friend!

Have you begun thinking about Valentine’s Day yet? I’ve started thinking of a few different recipes and dΓ©cor I’d like to make. I also love making cute treats for our kids’ classmates and I’ve narrowed my ideas down to about one hundred ten!

I’d love to share my first Valentine’s creation today….

This is super easy and fun to make! Our little daughter was so excited to help with this and I think I might just make another one for her room!

Here’s what you’ll need:

– branches

– white spray paint (I used Rustoleum from Home Depot)

– hearts (these could be foam cut-outs from the Dollar Store or made out of construction paper as well)

-glue gun

1. Collect branches from a tree in your yard.

 2. I then spray painted the branches white, using Rustoleum spray paint from Home Depot. Let dry completely.

3.  I then used my hot glue gun to attach the hearts to the tree and placed it in my Ikea vase for a quick and super cute craft!

What I love about it (besides the fact that it looks so pretty on my nightstand) is that it cost me $0 to make… not a penny! All the supplies were things that I already had around our home!

A lot of our Christmas dΓ©cor can be wintery and to be honest, I usually leave it out until beginning of March. However, this year I couldn’t… not sure if it’s because of my need to purge and clean or what, but I started packing it up yesterday! I’m excited though

I really like this idea! I was just noticing yesterday there are a lot of fallen branches in our backyard from our bald cypress tree. At first I was thinking they were the wrong color, but after reading how you spray painted yours, I guess it doesn’t matter! Such a good idea to paint them! I love how yours turned out!

Thank you Lisa! You’ll have to collect some! It was a beautiful day when I collected them and I spray painted them outside but guess what? The gentle breeze got some on my nice, new black boots!:( So glad you stopped by, friend!
