Summer Vignettes Around Our Home

Welcome to the Summer Festival Blog Hop, friends!!

Today, 24 of my amazingly talented blogging friends are joining me for a week of summer fun! And I’m pretty excited that I get to kick of this fun week by welcoming you into our home to see some of our summer decor!

Here’s a peek at what’s coming up on each day…

Monday is all about summery vignettes around our homes!

Tuesday you’re invited to join us on some beautiful summer porches.

Wednesday your mouth will water with delicious summer desserts.

Thursday you’ll see some beautiful tables all decorated for summer dining.

Friday, we’ll share how we added beautiful summer decor to our mantles!

If you’ve followed me for any length of them, you know I love decorating on a budget. I know it’s probably a whole lot easier going to the store and filling your cart with new decor for each season, but how about shopping your home for some “new” pieces? Or going to a yard sale and seeing what you find that you could make over to fit your style?

That’s what I love to do, friends. I enjoy the challenge but even more so, I love saving money!

Today I’ll show you a few summer vignettes and how I easily created them them using pieces I already had.

Our coffee table is my favorite place to create a vignette. I always start out with a tray and then add a couple of my decor staple pieces. These usually include an old book or two, a candlestick and some greenery. This time, I added these gorgeous real-touch roses from Afloral. I still can’t believe the quality of these florals. You actually have to touch them to see if they’re real or faux!

They really add the perfect touch of summer!

Here’s another end table that’s styled with some of my favorite pieces. I love baskets and the woven one is from Michaels and the wire one I picked up at a garage sale. (The end table is also a thrifted piece that I redid a few years ago and still love!) Flowers really do make any space happier!

Some people might call these weeds but beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. I’m thankful for each time my husband pulls the truck over and waits for me while I get out and pick a handful of these. I’m not quite willing to admit how many vases I filled around our home. (smile)

Another favorite area I love decorating is these farmhouse shelves my husband built for me. When creating vignettes, don’t be afraid to add different textures. I love the combination of the tobacco baskets with the galvanized metal, the wire basket, and then again, some greenery.

I’m so glad you stopped by today, friends! Before you go, be sure to head over to my friend Michelle from The Painted Hinge! I love her beautiful farmhouse style and I know you’ll love her sunny vignette she’s sharing today!

And here’s the rest of my friends sharing today… be sure to stop by each day and see the rest throughout the week!
