One Room Challenge (Week 5): Bedside Table Makeover

Five weeks ago when we started this One Room Challenge, it seemed like we had chosen the easiest room to makeover. However, it’s proving to be the hardest ever to complete! It wasn’t supposed to cause me any stress or late nights… and somehow, it’s done both.

One Room Challenge: A Bathroom Makeover from www.joyinourhome.com

Our Laundry Room was in total chaos before we redid it. Our Master Bedroom had 3 big pieces of furniture to redo, a board and batten wall to make, plus lots of other smaller projects. Our kid’s Bathroom last year had some crazily glued down lino to rip out. And yet, our daughter’s bedroom that I thought would be the easiest makeover yet is proving to be the slowest.makeover.ever. I have a feeling this next week will be crazy busy trying to wrap it all up!

Bedside Table Makeover

On my to-do list for this ORC was a new nightstand for our daughter’s room. Something with drawers because we all know that girls needs lots of storage. I remembered this bedside table that has been sitting in our garage all winter long. Every time I’d walk by it, it seemed to beg me for a makeover.

Bedside Table MakeoverThis is what it looked like before I sanded it down. Wooden drawer pulls and pretty turquoise paint. And lots of bumps and bruises. It’s amazing what paint and new hardware can do to a neglected piece of furniture! I’ll share the complete makeover and how I used my favorite chalk paint to redo it in a more detailed post on Friday!

I love how this bedside table turned out and it’ll be the perfect addition to our daughter’s bedroom makeover! Please wish me luck this coming week…. I’ll need it to pull this one off! Super excited though for the final reveal, friends! Thanks for stopping by and hope your day is wonderful!

I love how the dresser turned out. My daughters share a room and it has been one of the most difficult to decided how to make it over…I have been brainstorming for years now it seems and getting no where. Well, we got it painted a while ago but I have to agree with what you said about the difficulty. Hope you are able to complete it or at least show your lovely progress.
