Hot Chocolate Station (and Printables)

Happy Friday!

The countdown is on!! Today marks the beginning of Christmas holidays for us! I am so looking forward to relaxing and spending lots and lots of time with the people I love!

Since sharing my Christmas Home Tour, I’ve gotten so many sweet comments about our Hot Chocolate Bar that I thought I’d share all the details with you today… so, why don’t you cozy up by the fireplace, make yourself a delicious Peppermint Hot Chocolate and stay while I show you how I threw it together…

But first, let’s me share a bit of eye candy…..

Hot Chocolate Station and Printables at www.joyinourhome.comIt was so much fun putting this little station together and it’s definitely become the most popular little spot in our home! Our kids love putting on as many toppings as possibly fit in a mug lotsa fun toppings!

I bought the top glass containers in the summertime for next to nothing. I knew they’d come in handy for something and they work perfectly for this! The little matching glass containers with lids are from The Dollar Tree!

I got all my printable from Katie at Upcycled Treasures… I think the “Baby It’s Cold Outside” one is so perfect for this! She has it available in a couple of different styles so be sure to pop over and check them out! The labels and little “cup of cheer” tags are from her as well! Thanks Katie!

I think the funnest (spell check says that’s not a word, but it’s got to be!!) part of making this station was filling the containers with all things sweet! We used to buy individual packages of hot chocolate in different flavours  but now we just add stuff instead to make flavours! These peppermint sticks are the best… they melt so nicely and make your hot chocolate so pepperminty!  There are so many varieties of creams you can buy as well… the add-ins are endless!

This sweater garland got so much attention too, in my home tour! My husband got it for me waay back in September when the first seasonal decorations started appearing at Target!

Have you made a Hot Chocolate Station in your home? I’d love to hear about it, if you’d like to leave me a comment please! It’s so easy and fun to make and I’m sure young and old in your home would enjoy it! I plan on visiting this little station A.L.O.T during the holidays… and no calorie counting will be done!

Speaking of hot chocolate, did you see these little ornaments I shared last week?

That sweater garland is the cutest!!! I’m going to look for those containers with lids at my dollar tree too. You never can have too many containers. 🙂 Your hot chocolate station is perfect with all your fun add-ins. I love adding peppermint to mine. Enjoy the season, my sweet friend!
