10 Extra Ordinary Planter Ideas

Happy May, friends! How did that actually happen?! How 4 months managed to sneak by, I’m not at all sure, but May is such a fun, fun month!

It’s the time to start planting! Now I know many of our southern friends are already surrounded by pretty blooms but not us northern people. 😉 Usually we don’t start planting flowers here on the Canadian prairies until May long weekend. But now’s the time to start planning and seeing what colors and kinds of blooms you’d like!

I rounded up some pretty (and extra ordinary) planter and container ideas for you!

I’m sharing my Antique Milk Can Planter from a couple of years ago. It’s still one of my favorite ways to display flowers. My uncle found the antique milk can for me and I shared all about it in this post. 🙂

Mason Jar Herb Garden

Do you plant herbs? I love having some on the kitchen window sill and this cute tray was perfect to plant some of my favorite herbs in . I’ll definitely be picking up some again soon.

Satori Design for Living

I love how Shauna painted this flea market basket and used it as a container! So creative and I’ll be keeping my eyes open at garage sales this spring!

My Frugal Adventures

Isn’t this adorable? Such a bright and happy container and it already has drainage so no need to poke any holes through this container!

Sugar & Cloth

I love this idea and it would be perfect for a herb garden! I can picture it propped up on our deck against our house! I might just have to put this on our list of DIYs for the summer!

decor and the dog

I don’t think there’s a cuter ‘welcome’ sign out there! Hang a potted plant straight from the store or plant your own and you have such a fun stand for your home! I love that you can change up the message on the chalkboard!

Postcards From the Ridge

If you know me, you know I love upcycling things and this piece of driftwood is the prettiest succulent holder everrrr!

House of Hawthornes

Vintage or antique pieces have my heart. Thats all I need to stay. Aren’t they both the cutest? And prettiest?

A Proverbs 31 Wife

Another upcycled project I love! I’m sure we’ve all seen pallets laying around and this is such a cute idea for a small space or porch!

Organized Clutter

Vintage bucket. Blue flowers. Old wooden frame. What’s not to love? Such an out-of-the-ordinary idea that I’d love to try!

I’d love to hear which one is your favorite, friends!! Or if you’ve shared a planter or container idea on your blog leave me a link below, I’d love to check it out!

Thanks for stopping by today! I have a fun post I’m working on that I’ll share soon!
